Jordan Gale

LMFT

Jordan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of North Carolina and has been living in the triangle area for many years. Jordan graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelors in Family Community Services and then went on to complete her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. During her time at Appalachian State Jordan completed her clinical internship at Daymark Recovery Services in Wilkesboro, NC where she gained experience in providing Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Intensive In-Home, and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services. Jordan also completed certificates in Multicultural Counseling and Addictions from Appalachian State. Jordan has post-graduate experience working as a supervisor in an Alternative Family Living Program, as a therapist in a private practice setting, and for the last couple of years she worked as a clinical therapist in a residential setting where she provided individual, group, family, and equine-assisted therapy to adopted adolescents and their family members.

Jordan has extensive training and experience using family systems models, attachment-based models (dyadic developmental psychotherapy), and experiential techniques as well as other evidence-based models such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Jordan is a compassionate and driven therapist who has experience working with diverse populations. In session, you can expect Jordan to be non-judgemental, patient, and also challenge you to reach your identified goals and improve your overall well being. In particular, Jordan enjoys working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are experiencing neurodevelopmental trauma, adoption-related challenges, attachment and/or trust and bonding issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, complex trauma, and other mood related difficulties.
